Patrick Garry
Patrick Garry has served on the Gateway House Board since 2003, bringing more than two decades of experience in recovery services, mental health advocacy, law, and community leadership to the organization. He has also previously served as President of the Gateway House Board.
In long-term recovery himself, Patrick has devoted much of his professional and volunteer life to helping others affected by addiction and mental health challenges. His service has included leadership roles with the Ohio Lawyers Assistance Program, the Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, and the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Mental Health and Well-being Committee.
Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Boston College and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati. He has practiced law in Ohio since 1991, with a concentration in criminal defense.
Patrick’s personal experience with recovery, combined with decades of professional and community service, brings a knowledgeable and compassionate perspective to the mission of Gateway House.
